Honors vs. Advanced Placement (AP)
AP Prep Summer Academy AP Prep Summer Academy focuses on: higher-level reading and vocabulary skills writing different types of AP* essays study skills such as note-taking and ways to increase retention test-taking strategies The course is taught by experienced Lakeville AP Social Studies teachers at Lakeville North High School. Registration forms will be available after spring break from your Social Studies teachers. Please note that this is NOT a requirement or prerequisite for the AP courses. Honors vs. Advanced Placement (AP) Lakeville Public Schools offers an AP* Prep summer course designed to prepare students at all grade levels for their first AP* experience by providing them with training and practice in the high-level academic skills needed to succeed in social studies AP* classes. The sessions will most likely be 1-2 weeks in length depending on the hours. Also, we are working to determine whether or not we need to charge a nominal fee (which of course would be waived for families in need).
