3. Details of the Bid
Request for bids for the supply and implementation of a business intelligence solution within RAF, including a guaranteed maintenance for a period of six months.
If no representation/attendance at the briefing session your companies’ Bid will not be considered.

5. Evaluation Criteria and Methodology
Technical Mandatory Requirements.
Bidders who do not meet functional mandatory requirements will be disqualified and will not be considered for further evaluation
Technical/ Functional Requirements = 100% Weighting
- Paper Evaluation- 90%
- Demonstration and Site Visit – 10%
Three Top scoring bidders before demonstrations and Site visits will be shortlisted for site visits.
All Bidders who score LESS than (70%) on functionality including demonstrations and site visits will not be considered for further evaluation on Price and BEE.

6. Technical Mandatory Requirements
The proposed solution must be able to run on the IBM or HP hardware.
The proposed solution must be able to Integrate with business Applications, SAP ERP, Claims system on Informix, Fineos on Oracle and CAF on MSSQL. Substantiate by providing proof where successful integrations were implemented with SAP ERP, Claims system on Informix, Fineos on Oracle and CAF on MSSQL or any other relevant application.
The proposed solution must be able to operate in one of the following:
UNIX
AIX
Windows
The service provider must provide details of companies where they have designed and implemented a BI Solution. Please furnish three references . The reference should include company name, contact person, contact number and addresses.
The bidder must be accredited to provide the proposed solution. Please attach letter or certificate to confirm accreditation.

7. Technical Mandatory Requirements (Cont…..)
The service provider must provide details and cost for 10 licenses for technical consultants/Data modelers/report writers.
The service provider must provide the RAF with a six months Guaranteed Maintenance after implementation.

8. Technical/ Functional Requirements
The service provider must propose a project plan and methodology for implementing this project.
The service provider must provide a BI Solution which will connect all users and be able to facilitate information sharing.
The service provider must provide an open BI Solution.
The service provider must provide a complete suite for performance management, information management, reporting and query & analysis tools built on a flexible, scalable, service-oriented architecture.
The service provider must provide BI Solution which is flexible with enhanced tools for future migration or upgrade needs.
The service provider must provide a BI Solution which can prefferably operate on Citrix environment.
The service provider must provide a BI Solution with Operations Dashboard capabilities.

9. Technical/ Functional Requirements (Cont……)
The service provider must provide a BI Solution with Pushing Capabilities of reports.
The service provider must provide a BI Solution with Pulling capabilities of reports.
The service provider must provide a BI Solution with KPI dashboard reporting
The service provider must be able to demonstrate how the solution will operate.
The service provider must be able take the RAF team to visit companies where they have implemented the BI Solution. (If Outside Gauteng – the Service Provider have to carry the cost)
The service provider must be able to provide full technical and functional training, on or offsite to the RAF team.
The service provider must be able to provide technical and functional consultants to have at least 2 full implementation life cycles. (please provide proof)

The service provider must be able to provide a qualified, competent and dedicated project manager with BI implementation experience. Please provide proof.
The service provider must be able to detail all licensing requirements and the BI landscape.
The service provider must be able to provide a DRP & High availability solutions with detailed costing.

Demonstration and Site inspection
90/10 principle will be used.

Total Score on F/P/B will determine the award.
