5 Technology Infrastructure Standards
Standard One: Classroom Connectivity Standard Two: Teacher Access to Student Information System Standard Three: Access to Student Performance Data Standard Four: Data Projectors Standard Five: On Line Grades and Attendance Standard Six: Telephones on the Network w/ Integrated Voice & Standard Seven: Student Connectivity Standard Eight: Interactive Display Technology Standard Nine: Parental Access Standard Ten: Public Address and Bell Systems on the Network Standard Eleven: Video Security on the Network Standard Twelve: Wireless Connectivity >Standards in light text have been completed >Progress has been made in all standard areas

6 CUSD Technology Infrastructure Standards Progress: One through Six
>To our knowledge all classrooms have a projector available for use. One challenge over the next few years will be replacement of failing, outdated projectors.

7 CUSD Technology Infrastructure Standards Progress: Seven through Twelve
>Interactive technology includes wireless tablets, doc cams, and clickers. >Parent access of IC portal has made a small improvement, this is an area we will help emphasis at the school site level in the coming year (a mobile app is available which makes for ease of access) >Increased wireless connectivity will depend our E-rate funding *Standard Nine: This standard is being tracked by actual parent account access. *Standard Eleven: This standard was modified to focus on secondary sites only.

8 How are we preparing for Common Core?
Ready? Set. Go! Technology support of SBAC testing Infrastructure Upgrades Internet bandwidth increase 100mb to 200mb a 50% upgrade in capacity Recommended goal by is to have 100mb for every 1,000 students (per SETDA, State Educational Technology Directors Association) Piloting instructional tools for the classroom (online, tablets) Work to continue for and beyond…. Tech block grant for instructional hardware upgrades Re-write of Education Technology 3-year plan Infrastructure upgrades (when funded by E-rate) Instructional technology upgrades based on 5-year replacement plan >SBAC testing support includes preparing equipment in computer labs for testing (secure browser install, software updates, etc.) and frequent monitoring/maintenance >Tech block grant to provide up to $20/student for each school site (including WCS) for instructional technology equipment >Pilots: Instructional tools such as online collaboration, “cloud” resources (GAFE), web 2.0, tablet devices, etc. >Technology 5-year upgrade plan to include recommendations to principals for replacement of key technology equipment in classrooms (computers, projectors, interactive technology)
