Why is PPI important to Project Cycle Management (PCM)? How to ensure effective obtaining information for PPI? Objectives of the module Contents of the module Recommended techniques and tools to be used in the module Module Pre-Test and Post-Test Summary report of the finding and dissemination

4 1. What is Problem/Project Identification (PPI)?
The first phase of the Project Cycle Management (PCM) Four analyses: situation analysis, feasibility study, stakeholder analysis, and problem analysis. A process of collecting and analyzing of secondary and primary data

5 1. What is Problem/Project Identification (PPI)?
In PPI, we try to answer the following questions: What kind of project should be identified? What is the context of the project? What do we know about the context of the project? Do we have sufficient information to support the identification of a project? What is the main problem of the project Who are working in the targeted area(s)?

6 1. What is Problem/Project Identification (PPI)?
In PPI, we try to answer the following questions: What are their experiences? Who should have a stake on the project? What are their interests or influences? How can we develop a strong case to support formulation of the project? How do we know if the project will answer to the needs or rights of those intended?

7 What is Problem/Project Identification (PPI)?
Why is PPI important to Project Cycle Management (PCM)? How to ensure effective obtaining information for PPI? Objectives of the module Contents of the module Recommended techniques and tools to be used in the module Module Pre-Test and Post-Test Summary report of the finding and dissemination

8 2. Why is PPI important to Project Cycle Management (PCM)?
Understand context and situation Identify problem for project formulation Know whom to work with Foundation of PCM
