4 Key roles of the Web-Based Access-SMC Forecasting Platform:
1 Overview of the successful delivery of SMC in the Sahel region to target populations Enables the analysis and presentation of integrated SMC forecasting data in a clear and impactful way Serves as an operational planning and monitoring tool Encourage interaction between stakeholders Enable public communication of top-line reported en forecasted figures: access-smc.broadreachanalytics.ch 2 3 4 5

5 The Access-SMC Web Based Forecasting Platform will enable users to perform the following core functions: 1 Create a personalized dashboard to display specified visualizations View live updates of malaria-related news on social media (twitter) View graphical visualizations of the actual, committed and forecasted data on different levels: Total (Aggregation of all relevant data); Program (Access-SMC vs Non Access-SMC); Country; and District The visualizations include: The number of children per age group per targeted country; and The number of SPAQ blisters required and committed per age group Drill-down to a detailed breakdown of each visualisation Interact with other stakeholders by viewing and making comments on the visualizations View the contact details of key contacts Access the terms and assumptions to ensure that the data is viewed in the context described Use the Module button to: View both English and French summaries per country/district Export both visualisations and/or raw data 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

8 Buckets: These contain graphical representations of the data
Click on the locations tab in the navigation bar to open a list of levels to view (circled) Here the user can select the level of data to view – total , program, country, and district Hovering over the location name will open a list for the next level. Click on the location name to load the profile for that region The buckets are order-specific for the type of data the user can view for each geolocation Buckets: These contain graphical representations of the data

9 Levels Data is represented on four levels, accessed from the locations tab (circled) Level 1 – Total level, showing cumulative visuals for both programs and all countries Level 2 – The program level is split into Access-SMC and non Access-SMC Level 3 – This is the country level, where countries are grouped according to program Level 4 – Shows district level views for the country selected in level 3

Web address: Input individual User Name and Password provided, into the Login area (circled), and click on the login button

12 High-level platform structure | User Profile
Upon logging in for the first time, the user will be directed to the My Profile view Basic information is requested, including the user’s name & surname, job title, country of relevance, as well as a profile picture. Upon completion of these details, the information is submitted

Selecting to view the Total level, will open the Total profile The first bucket shows the core contributors This bucket is only visible on the total level

14 High-level platform structure | Children Targeted
The next bucket is Children Targeted. Here the user can view the total number of children targeted, the % targeted children reached from 2015 to 2019, as well as the breakdown by age This bucket is available on all levels allows the user to save it to the user dashboard allows the user a detailed view of the data

15 High-level platform structure | Detailed view
Here the user will be able to view data on one level lower than what is shown on the main page Hovering over a bar will open a dialogue box displaying details of that data point The comments box at the bottom of the detailed page can be populated by all users to raise or discuss certain points to address data questions or strategy

16 High-level platform structure | SPAQ Blister Forecast
The next bucket is the SPAQ Blister Forecast. Here the user can view forecasted information on blisters required and committed for 2015 to 2019, as well as by age for 2017 This bucket is available on all levels

17 High-level platform structure | Key Contacts
Scrolling down, the user will find the Key Contacts for the SMC project The total and program levels have contacts for the MMV Project Manager and Regional Data Manager The country and district level profiles will have an additional card for the focal point contact in the selected country

18 High-level platform structure | Terms and Assumptions
The last bucket on the total is that of terms and assumptions and acknowledgements It contains a list of terms and assumptions used throughout the project to define and assist in calculating the data in the children and SPAQ blister buckets

Once logged in, the user will be directed to the user’s personalised dashboard The user dashboard can also be viewed by selecting the dashboard tab (circled below) Preference cards can be added to My Dashboard Top trending cards are highlighted on My Dashboard The view contains twitter feeds related to malaria

The modules tab is an interactive platform which allows the user to view data on a various levels Available in both English & French

Provides a brief, condensed view per country Selecting the district level view allows the user a breakdown by district for the selected country Provides the user with high level information on partners’ contributions per the selected country Directs the user to the District level view for the selected country Select country to view Directs the user to an exportable data table for the selected country Contributors for 2017

22 High-level platform structure | Modules (district)
The district level view allows the user to select a year for which to view the districts in the selected country (as selected from the previous slide / country level) Here the user will see the target and committed number of children as well as the required and committed number of SPAQ blisters Directs user back to the country level Select year to view data

An interactive data table allows the user to export data at granular level to Excel Data available across multiple countries as well as multiple years Directs user back to the country level Select one or more countries Select one of more years
