Pillow plate characteristics
Two thin (0.8 to 2.5 mm in this case) stainless steel plates welded together along the sides and at the ends. In the middle, plates are spot welded together. After welding, the plates are hydraulically expanded by either water or gas

Heat transfer characteristics of pillow plate air-to-water exchanger
Water flows inside the plate. Welded spot pattern ensures turbulent flow: Excellent heat transfer Free air flow between the plates: Low air pressure drop Suitable for dust loaded air Easy cleanable by CIP

Heat recovery at two carpet factories of Egetæpper in Denmark
Locations: Gram and Herning Two and one recovery units (400 to 1600 kW) recovering heat from carpet ovens Estimation production: 2350 and 5000 MWh heat/year District heating water is heated directly in exchangers Part of the heat is used internally Pay-back time < 3 years
