Encourage correct pronunciation of sounds when reading and when speaking
Listen to your child read regularly (school books, library books, home books)
Quality reading rather than quantity of reading. Read to your child, talk about stories, settings and characters
Practise reading phonics sound and word cards that are sent home (make games with them)
Use the sound cards to build words that children can read
