How did the common gender role change from then to now? (In your own opinion) -Women didn’t work or drive, they stayed at home and took care of the house and children. If you could change one thing that happened in the 1960s, what would it by and why? -I was very happy in the 1960s, I wouldn’t change anything. Were you personally offended by the commercials they were airing on TV about women being used for cleaning purposes? -No I wasn’t, I love cleaning. In the 1960s, would you say you were a socs or a greaser? Explain why. -I was a socs because i had a nice car and a nice house. Did you have a job in the 1960s? If so what was it and if not what was your dream job? -No, I wanted to travel the world as an airline stewardess.

13 Bonus Extension #2 By: Taylor Trombley
What could you say differed about boy rules and girl rules in the 1960s? - In the 1960s, the rules were boys got to stay out later then the girls, for example, on the weekends the girls curfew was 11:00pm and the boys curfew was 12:00am. Did you take offense to any of the women in commercials/ad’s, if so why or why not? -No, not back then, that’s just how things work. How was a day of school like for you in the 1960s? -We couldn’t wear pants, unless it was 40 degrees, we only could wear dresses and skirts. Did you believe you were treated different from the boys in the 1960s? -Yes, boys got away with more. Boys could ride motorcycles to school, girls couldn’t. Girls were also expected to keep their mouth shut.
