It takes place at both a national and regional level, and the process will usually be subject to specific rules and policies covering how the relevant decisions are made.

This means first, ensuring buyers have the right skills for the task, and second, that effective governance is in place for supply assurance and compliance.

Preferred certifications: Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO) , or Certified Professional in Supply Management (C.P.S.M.)

3 years of increasingly responsible buying and contracts administration experience
