2 A noun names a person, place, thing, or idea.
A common noun is a general name for a person, place, thing, or idea. Common nouns are not capitalized. A proper noun is the name of a particular or specific person, place, thing, or idea. A proper noun is always capitalized.

4 Correct or incorrect? I go to Albemarle high school.
Incorrect. Since you are stating your specific high school, you must capitalize the entire title. Correction: I go to Albemarle High School. I am a high school student. Correct. You are not listing your specific high school; you are generally stating you go to high school.

5 A concrete noun names an object that can be seen, heard, smelled, touched, or tasted.
An abstract noun names an idea, quality, or characteristic. These things cannot be seen, heard, smelled, touched, or tasted.
