DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY DEFINITION
Basically the definition is the same with photography definition ‘photography’, the art of painting using light; The difference is laid on tools that used and the way picture taking technique; Analog photography, using analog camera (chemical compound in the form of roll film);
4
DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY DEFINITION
Digital photography, using digital camera (electronic censor, CCD/CMOS); Digital photography output, in the form of biner data. So that the photograph can be taken/delivered anywhere in a big number and can be modified at will.

HOW CAMERAS WORK 5/23
6
IMPORTANT TERMS Lenses 70-500mm (telephoto zoom) 50mm (standard)
(wide angle)
7
IMPORTANT TERMS Lenses Macro (close up)
8
IMPORTANT TERMS Aperture / F stop
9
IMPORTANT TERMS Aperture controls amount of light coming
in through the lens. SEE APERTURE HAND OUT
10
IMPORTANT TERMS What does Depth of Focus mean? F4 F22
11
IMPORTANT TERMS 1. Aperture 2. Camera to subject distance
Depth of Field/Focus (DOF) is affected by three things: 1. Aperture 2. Camera to subject distance 3. Focal length

IMPORTANT TERMS Shutter open 1 second Shutter open 30 seconds
Shutter– controls amount of time that the light hits the sensor or film plane. Shutter open 1 second Shutter open 30 seconds
17
IMPORTANT TERMS Fast shutter speed 500/F4
18
IMPORTANT TERMS Slow shutter speed 30 seconds/F16

SETTINGS & CONTROLS Program (like but with more control)
Camera suggests shutter speed and aperture, but user can adjust (AE shift). Good for portraits when you want dark backgrounds.
