Rationale Future labour market is uncertain and it depends on so many factors. An indiviul and a country can not control the factors and difficult to predict future. A realistic assumption can provide the picture of future labour market. Decisions made today based on forecasting can help a nation to decide the right thing to do in right time.

Rationale Many countries in the world established their own skills data system and on the basis of available forecasted data and information preppared their future strategic workforce plan. Data system is the prime need for forecasting, planning and utilizing the skills workforce for holistic development of a country.

Major components of skills data system
Five major components of skills data system are: Data base of existing classified workforce Supply side and demand side data according to occupation and level Hardware to process and store data Software to entry, process, search, retrieve & organize data and The competent human resource.

Existing classified workforce
Existing employed workkforce need to classify through RPL: According to – Occupation NTVQF level Sector/Sub sector Need a Government Order and rules

Supply side inputs Labour Force Survey data – Working age population, Young dependent, Old dependent; Graduates (Training providers- Gov, Private, NGO’s, Industry led, Apprentice) data according to occupation and level, gender segregated Uneployed Underemployed Job seekers

Industry Association Employer Ministries/Divisions/Directorates Public Service Commission BMET- Demand from aboard BAIRA- Demand from aboard Provision for entering info from various secondary sources to generate relevant reports (Economical growth, Direct Investment, GoV Policy, Political willingness, Technological Change, Environmental change etc).
