3 International Perspective
IB places a heavy emphasis on international affairs, perspective, and perception. This project aims to help the class become more familiar with some of the countries we will be talking about throughout the year. Group’s Job: Study the country and give the class a summary of the most important perspectives AND perceptions.

5 Presentation (20 Points)
5 minute presentation 2-5 minutes additional time fielding questions from me Include all “need to knows” when it comes to perspectives and perception Every member is expected to show mastery of knowledge

6 Visual (20 points) Somewhere on the front, you MUST have the name of the country and its flag. Everything else you include, is up to the group. All group member names must be on the back. The visual should be displayed AND referenced during presentation.

7 Works Cited (10 points) Must use MLA Format
Include everyone’s name from the group Include all sources that were referenced during presentation. Sources will be randomly checked. (This is an IB examiner’s normal practice)

8 Possible discoveries…
What are the current events going on in that country? What is that country’s government? How does it compare to ours? Education system? How does it compare? Health Care system? How does it compare to ours? What are the popular songs, movies, and TV shows in that country? Who are the most influential citizens? Why?

9 Possible Discoveries…
What are some stereotypes associated with that country? How does that country view America? What holidays and traditions are a part of that country’s culture? How do they compare to ours? What are some of the religions of that country?

10 Possible Discoveries…
What are some of the foods of that country? Is that country a tourist destination? What are its tourist attractions? What are the main similarities between the United States and that country? What are some of the differences between the US and that country?

11 Possible Discoveries Our presidential election Syrian refugee crisis
How does that country deal with or perceive some of our current event issues? Our presidential election Syrian refugee crisis Immigration Violence Court/Judicial system Law enforcement
