Your username is your SSU address

4 You can search through a large range of software to install, all free to students!

5 Once you find the software you want to install, add it to your cart to begin the checkout and download/install process

6 Check out the software even though it is free

7 When you reach this page, hit Accept to continue

8 Then hit the “Proceed With Order” button

9 This box will come up to begin the download of your software

10 The download will either begin automatically or you will brought to these screens, where just hit download again and the process will begin. In order to download the software, you must first down Kivuto’s SDM (Secure Download Manager) software, which allows you to download your software files safely and quickly. When the SDM has finished downloading, double-click the downloaded file and follow the on-screen prompts to install it. Click the Download .SDX button on the Download Instructions page. If the SDM does not launch automatically once the .SDX has been downloaded, find and double-click the .SDX file to launch it manually. The SDM window opens. Click the Start Download button next to each item on your order that you wish to download. Your software will begin to download as an ISO file (next slide)

An ISO file is archive file of an optical disc, a disc image composed of all the data files for a certain program or software ISO files are the safest way to deliver large data files and provide the best quality Since the ISO file is essentially a archive of an optical disc, it needs to be “mounted” before the data can be accessible This is when you need to either transfer the ISO file to a USB flash drive, or burn it onto a disc You can transfer it to a USB using You can burn it onto a disc using The ISO file should be downloaded in your Downloads folder, once it is complete transfer it to a USB or CD

13 Click the “Browse” button to locate the ISO file in your folder

It should be in your Downloads folder, or another location if you set it to save there (Desktop, My Documents, etc) Here you can label the USB if you wish, so you know what’s on it To get the USB to work on a Mac, change this to exFAT Note: Not all software is compatible with Apple products Select the USB you are using. Make sure the USB has enough memory and note that everything on it will be erased! Hit “Burn” when ready to transfer

14 Once it is complete and successful, you will see this, hit OK
If your burn was not successful, try again!

15 Once it is complete, you can go to the USB drive and you will see the data has been converted.
Open the “office” folder to get to the install applications. Depending on your computer, you will use either the 32 or 64 bit package. To determine this, go to My Computer and right-click, and select “Properties” You will find the info in System Type Double-click on the correct version to begin the installation process

16 To burn ISO image onto a disc
Download the Free ISO Burner software from It is not compatible with Windows 10

17 Select the ISO file image in this box
Check off Finalize Disc This will default your CD-ROM drive if you PC has one Hit Burn when ready. Note: Make sure the blank disc is in the drive before you burn!

18 Once the disc is complete, insert it back in the drive and open it or the disc will automatically run. Hit the Run Setup to begin the install process
