1 CORPORATE PARTNERS

2 Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City employs just over 10,000 people as active duty, reservists and civilians. YOUR COMPANY has an opportunity to position the company brand through the community support of an annual event that attracts 150, ,000 participants from the local and regional area over a two-day period.  YOUR COMPANY brand will be associated with the respectable entities of the Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council, comprised some of the area’s most influential civilian community leaders, as well as retired military personnel; and the leaders of Barksdale Air Force Base, the largest employer in Bossier City and Air Force home of the B-52 bomber.

3 The BAFB Air Show was awarded the ICAS Dick Schram Award in 2010, given to the military base that worked closely with and within its community to establish their air show not just as an important base event, but as a critical part of the community.    The Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council funding is critical to the event, as this civilian counterpart provides 85% of the capital that allows the governmental entity to hold the two-day Open House and Air Show event.  This event represents part of the United States Air Force recruiting mission, and is thereby part of the MAC’s civic duty to support it with fund raising efforts.  It is the only time throughout the year that the Barksdale Air Force Base is open to the community, and is a tremendous opportunity for the community to show support.

4 Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council
In 1999, during preparation for the 2000 show, the Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council (MAC) led the effort to assist Barksdale Air Force Base in making the annual Barksdale Air Show a world- class military open house event.  The 2000 show was the first year there had been an organized civilian push to engage with the Base on this project.  We were successful in increasing public awareness within the community, for Barksdale, and plan to maintain a first-class event in order to bring in as many attendees to our community and the base as possible.  Last year, the posted attendance for both days was 150,000 and an Economic Impact Study done by an independent contractor listed a total impact of roughly $5 million dollars.  While the MAC participates in many other worthwhile projects each year on behalf of the men and women of Barksdale, this is by far our largest and most visible project to the general public with the largest economic impact, and influence on our military-civilian partnership.

5 Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council
The support and financial commitment of our Corporate Partners and President's Club Members allows us all to enjoy this exciting entertainment and ensures our success in future years.  We also wish to thank the leadership and the support staffs of Bossier City, Bossier and Caddo Parish, the City of Shreveport and Barksdale Air Force Base for supporting this unique relationship, which is truly a win-win combination for all three community task forces.   Our Air Show committee has been working tirelessly to bring you nationally renowned performers and the best pyrotechnic experience around.  We promise an incredible experience for each of you and this year's show should have something for everyone. We hope you enjoy these talented aviators, both military and civilian, as they take to the skies to dazzle, amaze and thrill you!
