1 The progression of God’s salvation plan for humanity through 120 Jubilees

2 Moses at Mount Nebo overlooking the Promised Land
God has been preparing you for this journey we are about to embark on this morning Adrian: Israelites undergo circumcision after they cross Jordan and enter Promised Land Corey: taught how Jesus’ parables weren’t understood by those with hardened hearts. Romans 2:29 “Circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter.” Dion: we need to experience a paradigm shift and become more Christ centered Jacob: taught on the importance of understanding parables and symbolism in the Bible

3 Moses at Mount Nebo overlooking the Promised Land
Deut: 34:1”Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho” V7 “Moses was 120 years old when he died.” What can we see from here? -in the valley below, the last river to cross, the river Jordan before entering the Promised Land - The people will need a new leader before they cross. The name Joshua in Hebrew means the same as Jesus (Salvation or Savior) We each personally need to make Him the center, the Lord and Saviour and coming King. As soon as the people cross they will be circumcised (think of the heart). Will this not bring with it a renewed understanding of the Word as their hardened hearts are open to the deeper meaning in the Word

4 Moses at Mount Nebo overlooking the promised land
On the other side lies Jericho: a worldly city that will collapse as God establishes his kingdom Rahab. Having been visited by the two witnesses, has recognized her sinfulness, done Teshuva and waits patiently for her deliverance marked by the scarlet rope hanging from her window (Christ’s blood shed for her) You see many parallels with Revelations; types of seven; 7 priests carrying 7 trumpets for 7days, marching around the city 7times on 7th day.

5 Importance of the Figurative
The figurative (understanding the parable) is more important than the literal (physical) reality because all that remains is the spiritual. The physical will pass away- our physical death, the destruction of this world; what remains is spiritual. The spiritual is what is eternal

6 The Last 120 Jubilees; Parables from the Bible
The Six Days of Creation; 6 sets of 20 Jubilees 120 years and the Flood; a story of judgment and salvation 120 years of Moses in three distinct 40 year periods; a portrait of the Trinity 120 days at Mount Sinai and the 10 commandments; a covenant broken, an intercessor, covenant renewed 120 years of Kings represented by Saul, David and Solomon Scriptural references to six days Scriptural references of 120

7 The Six Days of Creation – 6 x 20 Jubilees?
2 Peter 3:8,9 “But do not overlook this one fact beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some count slowness but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.” Is there a significant fulfillment in each Millennium of man’s history that points to the corresponding day of creation?

8 Day One: Let there be Light God separated the light from the darkness
1 John 1:5 “This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light and there is no darkness in Him at all” God is in the business of removing darkness. Rev: 21: “And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb. By its light will the nations walk, and the Kings of the earth will bring glory into it, and its gates will never be shut by day- and there will be no night there.” In the beginning of Genesis God brings light into the world, and at the end of Revelations there is no more darkness. The best way to understand Revelations is to begin at Genesis and be continually washed in the Word through its entire body. Fulfillment: Sin(darkness)enters the world as Adam and Eve sin ,

9 Day Two: God separates waters above from waters Below
God’s Word often referred to as water in the Bible because the Word acts as a cleansing agent God separates His Word(ways) from our word(ways) Isaiah 55:8-11 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, as are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my Word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.” Gen 6:3 “My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be years.” Flood comes when Noah 600 years old. Humanity judged but Noah was prepared through his faithful obedience and is saved with his family in the Ark.

10 Day Two: God’s prophetic message in Adam’s genealogy
Adam Man Seth Appointed Enosh Mortal, frail Kenan Sorrow Mahalalel Blessed God Jared Shall come down Enoch Teaching Methuselah His death shall bring Lamech Lament, despairing Noah Comfort, relief, rest Man is appointed mortal sorrow (but) the Blessed God shall come down teaching (that) His death shall bring (the) despairing rest.

11 Day Two Eph 5:26,27…”that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of the water with the Word so that He might present the Church to himself in splendour without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” Summary; In the first Millennium God separates light from darkness (good from evil) In the second Millennium God’s Word brings judgment on sinful man through the Flood. And salvation for the faithful God separates Man from each other- ( Babel)/ This will be important again in Revelations (Mystery Babylon) These first two Millennium are about God the Creator and His Word.

12 Day Three: Dry Land and Plants
Because of sin, the people on earth had been separated from God (Eden), and each other (Babel), but God chose one man, Abraham, through whom He promised to reverse this separation. This promise would be fulfilled through one of Abraham’s descendants- Jesus. (Sunday School today) God begins filling through Abraham Gen 12:2-4 “And I will make you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonours you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Israel known as three plants in the Bible; The Fig tree, The Olive tree and the vine

13 Day Three The Fig tree- Israel as land: Matt: 24:32 “From the fig tree learn its lesson: as soon as its branch becomes tender and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is near. So also, when you see all these things, you know that he is near, at the very gates. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things pass away.” Fig trees can bear fruit in spring and in the fall. We know that Israel was not fruitful when Christ came and fulfilled the spring feasts in His first coming. The expectation is that she will be when He returns. It is important to note that Israel has returned to her land (1948) and this generation (70 years) is nearing its end. The Olive tree- Israel as pathway to salvation: Romans 11 (Gentiles grafted in) v17-21 “But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, although a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing root of the olive tree, do not be arrogant toward the branches. If you are, remember it is not you who support the root, but the root that supports you. Then you will say, ”Branches were broken off so that I might be grafted in.” That is true. They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand fast through faith. So do not become proud but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, neither will He spare you. Note then the kindness and severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God’s kindness towards you.”

14 Day Three: Land and plants
The vine: Israel’s spiritual state: Isaiah 5: V7 “For the vineyard of the Lord of hosts is the house of Israel. And the men of Judah are His pleasant planting; and he looks for justice, but behold, bloodshed; for righteousness, but behold, an outcry. John 15:1-5 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

15 Day Four: Sun and moon and Stars The Fourth Millennium
Who is the light of this earth. In the physical it is the sun. Isn’t it remarkable that God places the sun in the sky on Day four. And at the end of the fourth Millennium according to Biblical history Christ, the light of this world, the lamp according to Rev enters the scene. Moon is a faithful witness: Ps 89:36,37 Phase of the moon determine Hebrew months. Like humans sometimes reflecting God’s glory through His Son, sometimes not Most of the Old Testament apart from the law written by Moses written in this Millennium(stars?)

16 Day Four: Jesus Christ the Light, the truth and the Way
Christ’s coming marks the end of the second set of 40 Jubilees. This is the fulfillment of so much Bible prophecy. In the first 40 jubilees we learn that man is sinful and needs an intercessor. In Christ’s coming we see the solution in him, and how He, through His blood redeems us. The first 40 Jubilees about God the Father, the second about His Son. The first 40 Jubilees about the water pointing toward salvation, the second set of 40 Jubilees about redemption through the blood.

17 Day Five: Fish and Birds
Fish is the universal sign of Christianity Birds- first evidence of breath of life in creation story. Fulfillment of this day: the birth of the Church as the Bride of Christ and the Holy Spirit, the breath of life. 1 John 5:3-8 “For this is the love of God that, that we keep His commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world- our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? This is He who came by water and blood- Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree.” Can you see how this is a tri-fold work of God to save us.

18 Day Five: Holy Spirit and the Church
The coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church, the Bride of Christ marks the fifth Millennium. It also completes the progression and fulfillment of our view of the trinity in the Godhead. The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All prophetically told through the Creation story in Genesis.

19 Day Six: Man Man and his need for rest(day seven), as he reaches an exhaustion Dan 12:4 “knowledge shall increase” Each part of creation becomes more complex. Man is the pinnacle of God’s creation. He is sinful, he needs to be forgiven Christ comes and intercedes for him As each person repents and receives the Holy Spirit and claims Jesus as Lord and Savior and coming King we are considered righteous in His sight. This needs to be personal, Christ will return soon, we the Church must prepare ourselves. Those who have the Holy Spirit, are the wise bridesmaids who will be saved. Those who have not made that personal decision, and done Teshuvah will be told “I never knew you”

20 Conclusion A year ago I taught you the importance of the Jubilee as a marker of time that leads to restoration, a marker of time created by God Himself. This last year by the account of many experts in history of the Bible marks the 120th Jubilee from September of last year to October this year. Isn’t it amazing that as I talked of Ruth and Naomi and the reconciliation between Jew and Gentile that has been prophesied. How it brings the old and new testaments together as a powerful two witnesses. How the time from Abraham to Christ (40 Jubilees) is the same time of the Church(40 Jubilees) and in the middle is the cross that tie these two together. Jew and Gentile. Old Testament and New Testament. Are you ready for a paradigm shift. To follow our new leader Christ as He takes us across that last river into the Promised Land. Surely there are exciting times ahead, so get prepared!!
