6 Create Insert and Use Hyperlinks
A PowerPoint presentation is typically a linear presentation, where each slide is designed to move one right after another, and the viewer or audience progresses through slides, starting with the first slide and moving sequentially until the last slide. By adding interactivity, you have the ability to branch non-sequentially to a part of the presentation based on decisions made by a viewer or audience. This type of presentation is called a non-linear presentation. You can add interactivity by creating hyperlinks or by adding action buttons. A hyperlink enables you to branch to slides or other locations containing additional information. An action button is a ready-made button designed to serve as an icon that can initiate an action when clicked, pointed to, or run over with the mouse. This slide illustrates the differences between linear and non-linear slide shows. Copyright © 2017 Pearson Education, Inc.

7 Create Insert and Use Hyperlinks
Hyperlink objects Text Shapes Images Charts SmartArt or WordArt When working with hyperlinks, you must consider the object to which a hyperlink is attached and the type of information to which it is linked. PowerPoint enables you to attach a hyperlink to any selected object, such as: Text Shapes Images Charts SmartArt or WordArt Copyright © 2017 Pearson Education, Inc.
