1 Ephesians 2:1-22

2 MEMORY VERSE

3 INTRODUCTION One of the results of sin is separation from God. It is our iniquities that separate us from God. Our sins have made God to hide His face from us. The Bible makes it clear that salvation restores man’s relationship with God. Salvation is a free gift made available through the grace of God. No one can obtain salvation through good works or personal strength in trying to keep God’s commandment. We are saved by grace. Therefore, every sinner must take this opportunity to repent and be saved.

4 THREE SUB-TOPICS Point One: The Meaning Of Grace
Point Two: Salvation By Grace Point Three: Grow In Grace

5 THE MEANING OF GRACE Ephesians 2:1-10; Titus 2:11, 12
Grace means the underserved and unmerited favour we receive from God. Grace is a free gift from our loving heavenly Father to a sinful world. Grace gives a sinner the power to realize his/her sinful state and repent (Ephesians 2:8, 9). No matter how dirty a sinner is, the grace of God is available to save him/her. Grace is the totality of the gospel of Christ. Grace is not God’s backup plan for our salvation but God’s divine provision for our salvation.

6 SALVATION BY GRACE Ephesians 2:1-17; Titus 2:11, 12; John 3:16-18
As soon as Adam and Eve fell into sin they were separated from God. Any boy/girl that remains in his/her sin is separated from God.

7 God in His mercy made provision to save and bring sinful boys and girls back to Himself.

8 Despite the availability of the grace of God which has brought salvation to man, many sinners are still dying in their sins and going to hell. There is no excuse for anyone who remains and perish in sin.

9 Remember, no one can be saved by works, good deeds of love or mere keeping of God’s commandments. A sinner must be saved by the grace of God.

10 To receive salvation through faith in Christ by the grace of God, we must take the following steps: 1. Accept that you are a sinner 2. Believe that Jesus died for your sins 3. Confess your sins & ask Him to forgive you 4. Depart from sin & stop doing bad things 5. Embrace Jesus as your own Lord & Savior

11 Every sinner must take advantage of God’s divine provision of grace and repent.

12 GROW IN GRACE Ephesians 2:18-22; 2 Peter 3:18 Salvation is the beginning of the Christian life for every child who truly repent and turn away from sin. To continue the Christian journey, the saved child needs the grace of God.

13 The grace of God saves, keeps and helps you to grow
The grace of God saves, keeps and helps you to grow. Now that you are a friend of Jesus, you need to continue to grow in grace. To grow in God’s grace, you must:
