The Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of the Department of Science and Technology
(DST), Government of India, has drawn a programme of holding SERC School on atomic and
molecular physics. The school will cover lectures on current research topics of electron collisions and its
applications in the field of atomic and molecular physics. The course will be run at the level meant for
final year bright students of M.Sc/B.Tech, Research scholars, Post-doctoral fellows and Young faculty
members in the area of atomic and molecular collision physics.

AIM:
To train young researchers on the fundamentals of atomic
physics.
To expose the participants to tokomak fusion plasma, radi-
ation therapy, astrophysics, plasma research etc.
To provide hands-on-experience on experimental and comp-
utational tools in atomic collision physics.

All selected candidates will be provided travel assistance (limited to AC-III), boarding and lodging as per the DST norms and requested to attend the entire school. Applicants are also required to arrange for one letter of recommendation to be mailed (preferably by ) along with the application given in the format. The application must reach before June 30, 2017.
