5 Faculty Calendar/Schedules
Faculty (work year) Calendar must be submitted electronically by SEPTEMBER 1. form is located at For IESBVI staff (faculty resources) # of days on Faculty Calendar must match # of Contract days. Reserve 2 days in summer for Early ACCESS (IFSP) and Extended School Year (ESY) services Regional Director will review and approve your Faculty (work year) Calendar. Does Faculty Calendar align with district calendars?

6 Salary Exception Report
Sick Leave or Personal Leave Regional Director and Yvette Baker Leave may be taken in 2 hour increments. Funeral Leave & Family Emergency is considered Sick Leave. If approved by regional director, you may occasionally FLEX your schedule during the same week. Salary Exception form is located at For IESBVI staff (faculty resources)

7 Calendar Change Requests
Often used when schools are closed due to inclement weather. Calendar Change Request form is located at For IESBVI staff (forms) Send to regional director for approval.

For IESBVI staff (forms) Mileage Log (due 3rd Business Day of the Month) Expenditure Claim form (3rd Business Day of the Month) Travel Authorization form (due in advance of event) If traveling outside of assigned AEA(s). No form necessary if in-state & required by administration (e.g. Opening Day, Fall Vision Conference) Permission to Transport Student (due in advance of transport)

9 3.23 – Calendar Maintenance Policy and Procedure
All IESBVI employees are required to use e-calendar (MS Outlook) Calendar Permission – Allows other IESBVI employees to view your calendar. Weekly schedules should reflect: Services you are planning to provide during the upcoming week Travel time At end of week, change to services that were actually provided for the past week. Required Information for the Weekly Schedule on MS Outlook: Subject field Use student initials with building/district in subject field (e.g. G.W. Iowa Braille, Vinton) Identify travel time in subject field Location field Use the word “cancelled” when the staff member cancels service

Pull up Changing Service Provider document CRM- Enter: User name and Password: Go to Workplace Click on Reports Select Caseload Profile v3 Select your name from Counselor field (dropdown list) Click View Report Go over each student’s file (CRM and hard copy) with Regional Director

16 Web IEP and IFSP Activity
Generate chronological list of Annual Reviews & Reevaluations Go to Click on IOWA IDEA Click on IEP (on task bar) Click on Web IEP (button on RH Column) Enter: User name and Password: Go to Student List Click on Annual Review or Reeval Due Click on IFSP Tab – List of Referral, Initial due, Periodic, and Annual dates.

20 Summative Evaluation Documents on IESBVI website under For IESBVI Staff then 3 Year Review Cycle Iowa Teaching Standards These documents will be reviewed again at the Summative Evaluation Orientation on Friday, September 16th from 11:30-12:30 via Zoom. You will also receive a letter from the Regional Directors about the documents used in the process and reviewed in the orientation.

Standards of Practice are located in SOP Standards of Practice Dropbox. Share Literacy and Math SOP for TVIs Discuss PD Cohorts for Individual Professional Development Plan (IPDP)/Communication Conference Form is located on the website. Communication Conferences are held two times a year in December and April.

22 Plan Initial Visits to assigned schools!
Use CRM to generate list of students & schools Check for Accuracy (OMS & AEA staff can help) Schedule initial visits to these schools. Contact RD to determine if s/he wants to accompany you to any schools Otherwise, Mentor or OMS may want to accompany you! Schedule visits on date/time that principal and SE teacher (if applicable) are available. Pair, then Share Activity – Generate list of topics you might want to discuss with principal and SE Teacher.

25 Mentoring Program Mentor assignments
Mentor Meetings-twice a month (in person, electronically, over the phone) Regional Directors will meet with new staff once per month Things to discuss: What is working for you? What additional support do you need?
