Technology Education In order to secure the funds for educational technology, an interactive workshop will be held for the public. The workshop will consist of three stations that the attendees will be able to gain information that will provide clarity of how the funds from the bond will be used and they will also get to see first-hand what type of technology will be used in the classroom. The first station will be designed to educate attendees on the framework of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL). The second station will address the career and technology education program that will be possible with the funding from the bonds. The final station will focus on 21st century learning skills that will be acquired during career and technology education courses.

Station 1: UDL Attendees will have an opportunity to visit a station that has technology that is used in typical classrooms that utilize UDL. The station will include desktops, laptops, tablets and smartphones. The station will also include a five minute video presentation that gives the attendees a snapshot of what UDL looks like in various classrooms. The video will include interviews provided by teachers who has experience with UDL. The teachers will explain the challenges they face in the classroom when it comes to providing a flexible learning environment with today’s diverse learners (Zydney & Hasselbring, 2014). The teachers in the video will express that the UDL is a “framework for developing curriculum from the onset to address the needs of all learners” (Zydney & Hasselbring, 2014).
