Feedback WHAT WENT WELL (Summary) 1.Supportive and challenging opportunity with experienced colleagues 2.Invaluable experience to have external heads help identify the focus for the review 3.Excellent CPD from department reviews (Science) 4.Action points from the review now being implemented 5.Created good external links for heads, senior leaders and department staff 6.Moderating current practice and sharing interesting practice 7.Constructive feedback 8.Reviewed a problematic area in a balanced and supportive way 12

Feedback EVEN BETTER IF (Summary) 1.Facilitator helpful for the first TRIAD review 2.Group schools by similar focus 3.Directory of facilitator expertise 4.Pre-meeting to discuss the focus is vital 5.Private open discussion between the heads without facilitator or SEC 6.Involve wider leadership team not just the head 7.Consider a common format for the review report 8.List of review foci (not the report) covered by the TRIADs 9.Minimum of two hours for the two reviewers to discuss their thoughts 13
