6. SkillsUSA A national non-profit student organization that serves students enrolled in career and technical education programs at our nation’s public high schools and colleges. SkillsUSA has developed nearly 8 million workers through active partnerships between employers and educators. SkillsUSA has nearly 13,000 school chapters and serves more than 266,000 members annually and 14,500 instructors and administrators are professional members of SkillsUSA

8. Students in CTE programs at the BACC are entering the workforce sooner because of the training and skills that they receive in their programs of study. CTE students will be your colleagues or clients at an earlier age as well since most businesses are recruiting our students from the BACC and providing them tuition assistance to continue their college education and providing them internship & employment opportunities.

9. The students of the Bloomington Area Career Center have a lot to offer the working community of Bloomington/Normal and beyond. They can also compete with any 1 st or 2 nd year college student with regards to possessing the necessary skills to be an effective employee of any major corporation. After all, these are the students that will be some of our future community leaders!
