Webb County Freedom Riders: Ongoing Freedom Riders Sidewalker/Therapy Assistant Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the semester (Flexible) 466 Falcon Dr., Laredo, TX 78045 Mission: of Freedom Riders is to assist victims of domestic violence and child abuse through therapeutic horsemanship. Volunteer Shifts Tuesdays: 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Flexible) Thursdays: 3:00 PM - 7:30 PM (Flexible) There are four classes a day. Each class is an hour. Volunteers have the option of staying for all four classes or helping out with one or two classes.

They will be side walking by the horse supporting the rider or leading the horse. They will also help wash horses and set up for each activity for the day. 5. Gear-Up College Fair: September 27 Location: TAMIU Student Center Ballroom Mission: Expose Class of 2017 (high school sophomores) to higher education opportunities. Seeds of Change Festival Casa Yoga & South Texas Yoga Foundation Location: Saturday, October 18th at the Unitrade Stadium Mission: the theme of the festival "Seeds of Change" will resonate throughout every part of the event as they promote local artisans, vendors, and an active lifestyle. Volunteer Shifts Shift 1: 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM Shift 2: 1:30 PM - 6:00 PM

11. Fundraisers with Applebee’s Location: 7601 San Dario Ave, Laredo, TX 78045 Mission: help your organization raise funds to support local community efforts Dining to Donate  Details:  Event may be scheduled any day  It will run all day  1 event per month

12. Fundraisers with Applebee’s (Cont.)  Duties:  Print and distribute flyers to potential attendees  10% of all food and beverage sales from individual checks who present promotional flyer will be donated Flapjack Fundraiser  Details:  During non-business hrs (manager approval)  Sell up to 300 tickets and provide volunteers  Majority of ticket sales revenue minus $3 per attendee ($7 ticket)

13. Fundraisers with Applebee’s (Cont.)  Duties  Review Charity Guide  Create flyers and tickets  Sell tickets and promote the event  Volunteer and have fun!

14. 5k Possible ideas for 5k:  Stress walk  Walk it off Perks:  On campus  Just need sponsors  No food purchasing/food handlers permit needed

15. Sponsors The TAMIU Psychology Club can have sponsors donate money year round to our account Ex. SWPA (Candy Hein, family & friends, and Rebecka our Prez.)
