Bellwork1/23/12 What questions do you have about your final portfolio turn in?

This week’s assignments Tuesday: Your typed evaluations of 3 audio presentations are due by the end of the day We’ll be in the 200 T lab Also the last day to turn in any late work with a pass! The day of your final (Wed. 6 th, Thurs. 5 th, Fri. 4 th ) : We’ll be in the 200 lab for study hall time AND the time for your final. Bring other materials for working and studying if you get done early (no early release!) Make sure you have all components on the checklist completed before you turn your portfolio in!

What will go in your portfolio folder Your purple portfolio evaluation sheet Complete as much in advance as possible Post-It notes to indicate anything that has changed from your last submission Your author’s statement not answered simply in a list-more like a short essay DETAILED and SPECIFIC responses required using SPECIFIC wording from the FINAL PORTFOLIO RUBRIC Mess this part up, and your portfolio is unlikely to receive anything higher than a B Your table of contents (see example) Your three portfolio pieces stapled in individual packets All with DETAILED and SPECIFIC reflection pieces using SPECIFIC wording from the DPA RUBRIC All including past drafts demonstrating your growth and improvements between them

For the rest of the class Find a partner and trade your drafts for Portfolio Piece #3 Tell your reader what your goal is for this piece Ask them to write all over your draft giving you tips for improvement, particularly in regards to your goal Discuss what you’re going to do to improve this piece If you’re doing a “non-traditional” wildcard, check in with me TODAY to learn about any extra work that would be expected to make it acceptable
