2 Page 2 Summary There were 86 responses to the evaluation: 70% of attendees rated the overall conference as excellent/very good. Approximately 71% rated the quality, relevance, usefulness and contribution to understanding as extremely valuable/valuable. The keynotes were rated as extremely valuable/valuable (76% Wiliam & 62% Popham) Attendees would like to see all pre-conference sessions offered, but especially the Program Evaluation (58%) and Test Contractor presentations (48%). 67% said they would attend the following day to hear test contractors.

8 Page 8 Summary Most of the attendees are K-12 administrators (34%), followed by researchers (21%), university and COE’s and K- 12 teachers, and (48%) have come between one-three years. Email was the best way to reach attendees (61%) and posters are ineffective (1%). Most attendees will return next year (98%), even without a CDE conference attached, even if there was an increase in cost (55%). They slightly prefer the Thursday/Friday format (41%).

15 Page 15 Summary Attendees come to CERA first to learn about research relate to current ed. issues, then for a theme related to their practice, and finally to network. From the exhibitors, they want information about research (66%), products (52%), demo products (33%), and give- aways (20%) aren’t a draw. They want the abstracts in both an online and printed format. Very few attendees knew if test results are used in teacher evaluations (61%), some always do (5%), some frequently do (8%) though some never do (32%).
