4 4 Key Roles for Steering Committee The Steering Committee is an industry input and advisory body for aiding the development of the IT- Specialist part of the DCEP Program: Provide input on scope Provide input on training content (curriculum) Set direction for the IT Assessment Tool Review document and tool drafts.

6 6 The Data Center industry and US Department of Energy (DOE) have partnered to develop a certificate process leading to energy practitioners qualified to evaluate the energy status and efficiency opportunities in Data Centers. Key objective: Raise the standards of those involved in energy assessments to accelerate energy savings in the dynamic and energy-intensive marketplace of Data Centers. Provide repeatability and credibility of recommendations. DCEP Program Overview
