DROP OFF AND DISMISSAL *Instruction starts promptly at 8:00. Please have your student here on time so they will not miss any important information. *All changes in dismissal must be in writing, either a note or an email. Make sure changes are sent in by 12:30. Miscommunication may occur if changes occur too late. To be sure communication is received, please send late changes to both the office and the teacher. *For safety reasons, car riders are picked up in the car rider line ONLY. If you are walking or biking to pick your child up, they will need to be sent home as biker/walkers. It is not safe to have you and your child walking through car rider lines. *If you are a car rider, the Deerwood car rider sign MUST be clearly placed in the passenger window where the dismissal teacher can read it. *Please follow the map for car rider traffic flow.

Please do not park on the street and ask your child to walk to your car for dismissal. This is dangerous and causes more congestion on the street. Follow posted speed limits and remember that cell phone use is not allowed in a school zone.

DEERWOOD SAFETY Our students’ safety is our priority!!

New Safety Procedures Please WALK all bicycles when on the Deerwood property

Car rider signs For the safety of our students, every student riding in a car will be required to have a DWE car rider sign. The names must be written in black marker so they are easy to see. No Worries! You can have as many Signs as you need.
