6. The Physics and Mathematics Department at the University of Colima is offering two positions in experimental high energy physics at the “intensity frontier”. Both openings are at the level of "Profesor Titular A” (equivalent to the US assistant professor level) and are scheduled to begin in August 2016.

7. We are looking for young and talented individuals with a strong desire to contribute to society through the development of science. We are looking for pioneers: Opportunity to build – from scratch – an experimental group at a small and productive university in CLOSE collaboration with an international laboratory.

Physics and Mathematics @ Colima Research topics involve major areas of development in: Basic science (LHC, Dark matter, astro-particle, neutrinos, string theory, cosmology, condensed matter, pure mathematics) Applied science (condensed matter, materials, mathematical biology, atmospheric science, nano…)

10. Some relevant information: - Must participate in teaching and advising of students from the undergraduate. -They must have the capacity and willingness to incorporate undergraduate students into research.

12. - Knowledge of Spanish is not required (Junior and Senior level classes are held in English). It is expected however, that an effort will be made to learn it. - The successful candidates will be entitled to spend up to six months per year at the international laboratory (carried out in one or several visits).

13. Requirements: Interested applicants should have a PhD in experimental high energy physics and at least one postdoctoral experience.
