28 Brazilian RV Market Driver’s licenses Types: A – Motorized vehicles that have 2 or 3 wheels (motorcycles for example); B – Motorized vehicles with the TGW up to 3,500kg with a maximum of 8 passengers. Also for RVs (towable or motorized) with TGW up to 6,000kg. C – Motorized load vehicles with GTW up to 6,000kg; D – Motorized vehicles for more than 8 passengers, excluding the driver; E – Drivers of motorized vehicles for B, C or D license when the towable vehicles exceed 6,000kg or have more than 8 passengers. RVs: Drivers that have an “A or C class” RV with the TGW higher than 6,000kg need the “D” license. RVs less than 6,000kg need the “B” license. Vans for more than 8 passengers need a D license. If not, they can drive with the “B” license. If you want to tow a travel trailer and it’s less than 6,000kg you need the “B” license.
