1. Do Now: Please have out your novel for novel project #2. If you do not have it, then please write your book title down on a notecard. Please place your novel and notecard in the corner of your desk so I can come around and form book groups while you are working on your Disney Analysis project!

3. Group Activity (groups of 3) Task: (in-class assignment) 50 pts. Deconstruct a Disney movie/text by analyzing the gender roles/stereotypes created Produce a PowerPoint, poster, or other form of presentation that: Includes the movie with an image and/or short clip Pulls out 2-3 specific examples of gender roles and/or stereotypes Analyzes each example Draws comparisons to other forms of media/literature/texts (must have at least two other text forms) **Do not SUMMARIZE the movie/plot----ANALYZE IT! **Your presentation is brief and should be no longer than five minutes! You are just EXPOSING information to the rest of the class!

5. Homework Complete the “Word Replacement” activity by finding ONE text and replacing the pronouns as directed. Then, analyze what happens to the text once those pronouns are changed! Read first assignment for Book Club Meeting on 3/9!
