Scholarship Opportunities #4 Beacon of Hope Scholarship Scholarship Value: $1,000 Available to: Seniors Applicants must be graduating African American high school students must have at least a "B" average and verification of acceptance and attendance at a four- year college or university in the United States Applicants must submit the completed application form along with one certified copy of high school academic transcript; one original photograph; and a hard copy of an essay of at least 1,000 words entitled, "Why I am Deserving of the Beacon of Hope Scholarship".
