1 Teacher Guide This lesson is designed to teach kids to ask a critical thinking question that you can’t just put into a search box to solve. To do that, we encourage them with smaller questions that search can help them answer. Make sure that you read the notes for each slide: they not only give you teaching tips but also provide answers and hints so you can help the kids if they are having trouble. Remember, you can always send feedback to the Bing in the Classroom team at BingInTheClassroom@Microsoft.com. 3 On Brazil’s central eastern coast, many of the tributaries of the Jacuípe River make numerous bends and curves, cutting down through the wooded inland hills toward the ocean. Here, the Tatuamunha River estuary gives a great example of the topography along this stretch of Brazil’s Atlantic coast. One side benefit of this blending of freshwater and saltwater currents is the creation of spectacular sandy beaches. Much of the land in this region has traditionally relied on sugar cane and tobacco farming to sustain the population. But now some of the seaside towns are playing up the uncrowded beaches and wildlife experiences to attract tourism.
