1 Teacher Guide This lesson is designed to teach kids to ask a critical thinking question that you can’t just put into a search box to solve. To do that, we encourage them with smaller questions that search can help them answer. Make sure that you read the notes for each slide: they not only give you teaching tips but also provide answers and hints so you can help the kids if they are having trouble. Remember, you can always send feedback to the Bing in the Classroom team at BingInTheClassroom@Microsoft.com. You can learn more about the program at bing.com/classroom and follow the daily lessons on our Partners In Learning site. 3 On the northern coast of Ireland, the ruins of Dunluce Castle offer incredible views of the Atlantic Ocean. And the panorama drives home the medieval castle’s former value as a strategic defense outpost for Richard Óg de Burgh, aka The Red Earl, and his 13 th century army. For it was The Red Earl who first built up Dunluce as a livable space. Those with a keen eye and a taste for classic rock may recognize the stone keep from the album artwork inside Led Zeppelin’s “Houses of the Holy” album. In fact, Dunluce has inspired a fair amount of pop culture, as it’s also thought to be the inspiration for the royal castle in C.S. Lewis’ Narnia books. So roll up your Renaissance Fair dreams and book passage to County Antrim. Dunluce Castle is open for tours and has a rich, wild, and tragic history. They just don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Even though C.S. Lewis was inspired by this (real) castle, his Narnia books are categorized as high fantasy.
