2 Vocabulary Gnomon – shadow stick used by the Ancient Greeks to help them tell time Solar noon – time of day when the Sun reaches its highest point in the sky; when shadows are the shortest

3 Vocabulary Apparent path – The Sun and the Moon APPEAR to be moving, but this is caused by Earth’s constant rotation
