2 The Carey Story Since establishment in 1995, Carey have grown to become the largest 100% Indigenous owned contractor in Australia. From origins in the Goldfields of WA, Carey have expanded to carry out mining and civil works in the Pilbara and South West of WA and training throughout WA, SA, NT & QLD. Carey Group aims to create sustainable opportunities for Indigenous Australians through three business pillars: Mining – Civil – Training CareyMC is our civil construction arm; in conjunction with a non Indigenous partner for now, but with the intent to become a 100% Carey Group owned company by 2020.
