3. Teacher Loan Forgiveness “Low-income” schools are those schools with a poverty percentage of at least 30%. Each year, the U.S. Department of Education (USED) publishes a list of low-income elementary and secondary schools. The list of schools for North Carolina is generated from the annual Eligible Schools Summary Report (ESSR).

4. **Note: The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction does NOT make determinations as to teacher loan forgiveness funding. LEA, school(s), or cluster of schools must have a minimum of 40% “identified students” based on enrollment LEA must agree to provide meals to all students at no cost LEA or SFA must cover costs not provided in federal meal reimbursement with NON- federal funds LEA must NOT use household applications in CEP schools

37. 2016-2017 The Date and Time Stamp is how you know your data has been approved in the system It will take 24 to 48 hours for the data to transfer to the CCIP system

After you have completed the ESSR it will take 24 to 48 hours to populate in the CCIP If you find that you need to make changes after you have submitted – please e-mail me at allison.yarboro@dpi.nc.gov and ask that I un-submit your ESSR – Please give the name of your LEA/Charter School and your unit #allison.yarboro@dpi.nc.gov After your make your changes and re-submit it will take another 24 to 48 hours to re populate in the CCIP
