5. I had seen the effects poor education had on individuals while working in corrections and law enforcement, my chief goal in life is to help other people change theirs. What not a better place to start then with early childhood education, making a difference while they are young is making a change for life long success! My K-12 experience as much as I can remember was academic I am no where near athletic but loved music, and math, not so much on the science. The one person who created a lasting influence on me: My High School Home Ec Teacher. (this was before they called it family and consumer science class She taught me to believe in myself and gave me a rule of thumb I have always remembered, the author is unknown “It takes Courage to Stand up and Speak but to also sit down and listen”. She was a roll model, a friend an advocate, and above all else a strong professional educator.

Earning my Graduate degree just puts my foot in the door to being close to positions which require the higher level of education rather then waiting until I am under a mandated deadline to get the degree.
