American troops suffered living in half and quarter rations of military and medical supplies. American soldiers surrendered, the sick were forced to march 55 miles to the Bataan Peninsula, more than 7,000 American troops died during the trip which is known as the Bataan Death March.

13. America Strikes Back with Doolittle Raid The Doolittle Raid was planned to hit Japan at night but they were detected so Doolittle ordered the attack immediately. It killed 50 Japanese people and damaged 100 buildings. Then the Battle of Coral Sea gave an American victory, it forced the Japanese to call off attack on New Guinea.
