Pick classes for sophomore year! Pick the right classes that match up with what you took as a freshman Pick what you need to graduate OBJECTIVES

Pick up honors contracts if you plan on taking ANY honors classes next year Honors contracts must be signed by your current teacher to take honors next year Pick up Yearbook applications if you are interested (Journalism, Film & TV focus elective area) Pick up Early Childhood Education applications if you are interested (Human Services focus elective area) REMINDERS

You cannot take a class again…for example, if you took Guitar I, you must go to Guitar II (Exceptions include choir, band) Please fill out all alternative spots and take this seriously! Mrs. Tasha Isaac will be your counselor next year REMINDERS

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

Standard Honors (teacher recommendation) 4 credits of English are required for graduation. Must pass English each year to be promoted to the following grade. If you do not pass both semesters of English 9 you need to register for summer school!! ENGLISH

Algebra 1A Algebra 1B Algebra Geometry Geometry Algebra II 4 years of Math (during high school) are required for graduation. If you do not pass both semesters of Math you need to register for summer school!!! MATH

Biology A Biology B Physical Science Biology Biology Chemistry Students are required to take 3 Science credits (during high school) for graduation. SCIENCE

French I, II (Honors) German I, II (Honors) Latin I, II (Honors) Spanish I, II, III (Honors) 2 credits of the same foreign language (during high school) are required for graduation. If you are currently in the first year of a foreign language you should sign up to take the second year. If you are currently in the second year of a foreign language you should sign up to take the third year. FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Recreational Games 1.5 credits are required for health and PE. Everyone must take Recreational Games as a Sophomore unless you turn in an alternative credit P.E. form your freshman year. ***Check list of forms (Sports, Pom/Cheer, Marching Band) .5 Personal Finance is required for graduation. This course may be taken during your Sophomore or Junior year. WELLNESS/PERSONAL FINANCE

1 credit in a fine art is required for graduation. If you are not currently in a fine arts class you must select one to take your sophomore year. Art I, II, III (Honors) Mixed Chorus, Concert Choir, Chamber Choir Honors, Women’s Choir Honors, Show-Jazz Choir Honors Intermediate Band Honors, Varsity Band Honors Intro to Communication Forensic Debate Intro to Theatre, Advanced Acting Theater Production Workshop Guitar I, II Intro to Film and Video, Film and Video II Strings Orchestra FINE ARTS

World History & Geography Standard Honors If you took World History & Geography freshman year, you will not take history until junior year 3 credits of Social Studies are required for graduation. If you are not currently taking World History & Geography you must sign up to take it as a Sophomore. SOCIAL STUDIES
