4 Strategy 1: Integrate basic skills instruction with career/technical instruction and provide supports that facilitate integration and student success. Strategy 2 : Offer a continuum of completion by stacking certificates and building a full career pathway. Project Strategies

5 Strategy 3: Enhance hybrid and online learning to support underprepared students into IT pathways. Strategy 4: Build transferrable and portable credentials with degree articulation across LA and MS Strategy 5: Strategically align the Consortium colleges with Accelerating Opportunity to strengthen pathway design and implementation, coordination with the workforce system and employers, and state policy.

6 Project Deliverables 1)a new common core foundational IT curriculum; 2)implementation of an accelerated CompTIA certificate with an associated paid internship; 3)an evidence-based IT Pathway leading to three subsector training paths – health informatics, cyber security/networking/convergence technologies; and industrial technology; 4)implementation of comprehensive wraparound student support services, prior learning assessments, job placement assistance, and professional development.

10 Policy work between LCTCS and BOR or SBCJC and governing body to inventory and monitor policies that create barriers for transfer, retention, success, graduation. Facilitate data exchange with governing boards for data collection efforts. Advise on any challenges that may exist for amending system policies Prepare state financing plan for Consortium colleges - “braided funding” strategy to ensure that all available state and local funding that can be directed to the initiative is being utilized. Encourage statewide scale up of IBEST model to other system institutions.
