4  Age 40- 65  Physically- Begin to lost some strength, coordination, stamina  Erik Erickson  Generativity- create, originate, and produce  Adds meaning to the lives of adults  Midlife Transition- Midlife Crisis  Realization that they have lived half their life  Empty-Nest Syndrome  Feelings of emptiness after children leave

5  Age 65  Physically- senses become less sharp, reflexes and reaction time.  Why do we Age?  Programmed Theories  Aging is a result of genetics, we all have biological clocks  Cellular Damage Theories  Damage to cells from external causes cause aging not heredity
