EPF fosters MP activism through Parliamentary actions, speaking engagements, media visibility, and so on. MPs become recognized leaders within their Parliaments, sitting on or heading key committees, initiating changes in policy and mobilizing actual resources.

11 2006 Programme Highlights - November 2006 - 11 European Parliamentary Forum on population and development European Parliamentary Forum – 2007 - 11 Lessons learned in MP advocacy on RHS/Global Health 1.Where there is an APPG – funding for RH has never decreased 2.Governments appreciate support for RH in Parliament 3.MPs in 14/17 donor countries report having been personally involved in ICPD resource mobilization efforts (UNFPA Global Survey 2006) 4.Medium-term : a number of MPs involved in RHS advocacy then become Ministers (for Development).
