3 Is Anger Sinful? God’s Anger (Gen. 6:5-7; Gen. 18:20-21) Jesus’ Anger (Mark 3:5; 11:15) God’s Anger is always for a righteous reason (Numb. 32:10-15; 2 Sam. 6:7) God maintains control when angry Anger can quickly lead to sin! Don’t give the devil a place (Eph. 4:26-27)

4 Solomon’s Wisdom A quick-tempered man acts foolishly (Prov. 14:17; Eccl. 7:9; Prov. 15:1, 18) A hot-tempered man abounds in transgressions (Prov. 29:22) Better than the mighty (Prov. 16:32)

5 Solomon’s Wisdom Especially in regards to marriage Abandon the quarrel (Prov. 17:14 ) Choose to be slow to anger (Prov. 19:11)

6 Solomon’s Wisdom Anger Rubs Off (Prov. 22:24-25) Anger Is A SNARE! Penalties For Anger (Prov. 19:19)

7 An Angry Disposition Is Not Christ-Like James 1:19-20 Quick to hear Slow to Speak Slow to Anger Does not achieve God’s righteousness Colossians 3:8 Cannot let emotions rule!

8 Anger Is Dangerous Ephesians 4:26 Personal Revenge It is HARD to be angry and not sin! Anger WILL effect us! Jonah 4:1-4, 9-11

9 How Do We Handle Anger? Do we let the sun go down on our anger? Are we angry for any and every reason? Does anger control us? How will you respond to the truth?
