12 Summary Fran and Mike first met at their friend Andrea’s party on October 9 th 1964 and they went steady soon. But it was ended after a month. Because they had many mutual friends, they met many times after they had broken up. After that Fran entered a high school, and she was always ready to meet other guys. But Mike was always in her mind. After their 10 th grade, when Mike left for a Spanish program in Mexico, she finally realized that she had missed Mike so much. And when he came back, they realized that they had to be together. So they started up again and went to college and finally they got married. And now Fran often told her daughter, Lauren, the story of their courtship. She tells her daughter who is not quite ready to make a commitment that it’s just a puppy love so not worrying so much.

13 Thoughts on this Story This story moved me so much. When I saw Fran and Mike finally met again and got married even if they were broken up and apart from each other for a long time, I realized that soul mates are real exist. It was kind of surprised for me that how they kept thinking about each other. Because I have believed ‘out of sight, out of mind’. But this story totally changed my thinking. Now I believe the existence of soul mate and I think every people will someday meet their soul mates even if they were not close yet. And I also want to meet my soul mate soon.
