16.  Be aware of people around you at all times.  Know where fire escapes, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment is located.  You may only leave the assigned area if given permission by the teacher.  Never throw anything.

20. Don’t use screwdrivers as chisels or pry bars Don’t use a “cheater” with a wrench After using a tool, clean it and return it to its proper place If anything breaks or malfunctions, report it to your instructor at once Never place tools & materials where they hang on the edge of the table

25.  While working with animals stay calm whenever possible.  Never provoke an animal.  Approach all animals with caution.  Stay alert at all times.  Study or know the behavior of the breed of animal before working with them.  Be aware of zoonotic diseases.

26.  Know your allergies before contact.  Have an exit strategy.  Dispose of waste properly.  Utilize proper restraints and holding techniques.
