1 Symbols of the Eucharist.
L.O-To evaluate the meaning of the symbols in the Eucharist.

2 What can symbolise a big event in your life?

3 The people of God, are some how connected with each other
The people of God, are some how connected with each other. St Paul called them the “Body of Christ”. Each member is linked with all other Christians, through Jesus. Jesus said “Where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the middle of them”.

4 Two symbols of the Eucharist are the images of a head of corn and some grapes. The symbolism is that grapes are crushed to create wine, and the corn is crushed to make flour for bread. This is symbolic of the life of Jesus being crushed in order to give life to the world. Bread and wine are they key symbols of Mass/Eucharist.

5 In Mass we believe Jesus/God speaks to us through the reading of the Bible. As it is the “Word of God”. The Bible has a special place in the Church.
