3 What is it all about? 30 June 2012 - Prime Minister announced the expansion of cadet forces. By 2015, up to 100 more state-funded schools will be able to develop cadet units. BWT (Officer in Charge) initial bid endorsed by BWT & MoD with funding line identified. There will be an independent BWT CCF unit from 2015 What now? Need x4 Adult Volunteers (2M/2F) from BWT stakeholders – ideally from teaching staff – to be trained ready for first parade at partner CCF site Oundle School Sept 2014.

4 What is expected from me? Personal: Enthusiasm / Energy / Charisma / Common Sense Time: 1 x 2h parade pw / appx 1 x w/e ex/trg pm / 1 x 1 wk camp per yr Sept 2013: Selection / Initial Training: 1 x w/e Officers Prelim Cse at Beckingham (Notts) plus interview by 49 Bde Commander > Type B (non deployable commission). Visit parent Oundle CCF on several parade days. 1 x 1 week CCF Basic Course at Frimley Park Cadet Training Centre (Camberley, Surrey). If possible, attend CCF Summer camp as observer. Sept 2014 & onwards: Optional specialist / additional training at Frimley Park – e.g. First Aid / Weapon Trg / Exercise Planning.

5 What support will I get? Start-up Year: Sept 2013: Partner CCF (Oundle School) – Staff only close mentoring / full participation (as necessary) in partner CCF programme. Training from MoD Partnership Year: Sept 2014 (appx 1 year): Partner CCF (Oundle School) – close mentoring / full participation in Oundle CCF programme. Y10 high calibre student cadets (n= 15 to 30) from across BWT. Training from MoD Post independent status: Sept 2015 School Staff Instructor (Ex Army regular WO / SNCO) – ideally full time BWT appointment. 49 Bde Cadet Training Team (Chilwell, Notts). 49 Bde Support Staffs (Chilwell, Notts). Partner CCF (by mutual agreement). Frimley Park Cadet Training centre (via specialist courses). Local regular and reserve military units (by mutual agreement).
