2 Immunization Ensure through surveillance that gender is not a factor affecting immunization activities. Therefore polio elimination, and immunization activities against measles, and neonatal tetanus need to equally benefit both sexes. Also ensure that new vaccines are effective for males and females.

5 Adolescent Health THE 49 th DIRECTING, COUNCIL approved the PLAN OF ACTION ON ADOLESCENT AND YOUTH HEALTH Activities for both member states and PAHO at interagency level (i.e. Follow up and support the regional Observatory on Gender Equality), regional level (i.e. Reach consensus on a standardized list of indicators that allows for the identification of gaps and disparities in health status by (…) sex), and national level (i.e. Review and update the legal framework for the protection and rights of adolescent and youth, using gender and ethnicity approaches

8 Family and Community Health -Immunizations -Child and adolescent health -Maternal health -HIV/STI -Nutrition - Gender was a key consideration in the biennial workplan of the Area -Concerted effort to disaggregate data by sex and ethnicity
