2 The Salvador Declaration calls for:  Strengthening the collection, analysis and dissemination of accurate, reliable and comparable data on world crime and victimization trends and patterns (OP 11)  Identifying gaps that may hinder international cooperation and explore means to address these gaps (OP 21)  Participatory, collaborative and integrated approach to develop and adopt crime prevention policies as well as monitor and evaluate their impact (OP 33)

5 Studies on crime & corruption:  Research on organized crime involvement in counterfeiting (UNICRI)  Virtual Forum against Cybercrime (KIC)  Drug trade and wildlife crimes in Southeast Asia (NIJ and UNODC)  How transnational organized crime operates in West Africa (NIJ & UNODC)  Money laundering and terrorist financing (AIC)

7 Information Collection and Sharing:  the AsiaJust Programme (KIC and UNODC)  interregional cooperation in data collection for policy and effective legislation in Africa (UNAFRI)  Improving asset recovery (Basel Institute on Governance)  Use of the internet to counter the appeal of extremist violence (NAUSS)
